Iphone is a multimedia smart phone designed and manufactured by Apple Inc. Launched in the beginning of 2007, an iphone is a fully touch-screen phone that can work as a camera, can be used for text messaging, playing media files and even for various internet functions such as browsing, e-mail, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The iphone applications make an effort to enhance the usability experience of an iphone user. Users can browse and download various applications through the App Store service of Apple Inc. The third part applications were launched in mid 2008. Till now, about 200,000 applications are launched on the App store, games, references, GPS navigation, various social networking websites and advertising for films and shows are included in these applications. Some of the applications are totally free of cost and some demands very less money to download the application, depending upon the nature of the application. These applications can either be transferred directly to the phone or downloaded on the computer through the iTunes service.

Apple has introduced various applications which include business applications, games, entertainment and educational applications. Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D is occupying the top position among the most popular applications purchased by the users. The most downloaded free applications concluded Facebook as the number 1 and google earth as number 2.

According to the results of the survey in 2009 it was concluded that EA mobile is the creator of 9 applications among the top 30 purchased applications. Real Racing and Flight Control are the most famous games applications in the top 30 list. Also, many navigation apps also built up the list of the same. Chef Jamie Oliver’s 20 minute means app and Smule’s I Am T-Pain are also included in the category of the best iphone apps. Arsenal FC’s official app and Sling Media’s Sling Player Mobile applications also added on to the list.
